That Cllr Amrit Mann, Deputy Leader of the Council and Cabinet Member for Environment:

a)    Noted the responses to the statutory consultation carried out on the proposed 20mph speed limits;

b)    Noted that objections to the proposed Traffic Management Orders had been received and considered and agreed that, notwithstanding the objections, the Authority would be complying with its duties arising under section 122 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 in authorising that the Traffic Management Order be confirmed;

c)    Authorised officers to proceed with confirmation of the Traffic Management Order and the implementation of the 20mph speed limits proposal previously approved (approval ref: REG 22, dated 19 August 2015) for the reasons of improving road safety for all users; The budget for this is contained within the existing capital programme funded from the annual TfL (Transport for London) LIP (Local Implementation Plan) allocation for 2017/18; and

d)   Agreed that the objectors be advised of this decision.
