Committee (the Licensing Panel)

HOUNSLOW COUNCIL,as the Licensing Authority for the premises

 

RESOLVED TO TAKE THE FOLLOWING STEPS IN RELATION TO THE PREMISES LICENCE ASAPPROPRIATE TO PROMOTE THE LICENSING. OBJECTIVES:

 

 

That the following additional conditions shall be applied to the licence:

 

  1. Variation to layout of the Betting Shop to be agreed with the Licensing Officer.  The layout will remove the current Fixed Odd Betting Terminal’s and relocate them adjacent to the service counter as opposed to the shop front window.  The purpose of this is to improve the effectiveness of staff challenging under age persons at the premises.  This variation to the layout shall be completed by 31st August 2016.

 

  1. The premises will have magnetic locks on the entrance door to the premises.  Staff will be able to control the locks from the service counter.

 

  1. The premises shall maintain a comprehensive CCTV system which records 24 hours a day. The CCTV will cover all entry and exit points and the area outside the front of the premises. CCTV at the entry and exit points will enable frontal identification of every person entering or exiting the premises in any light conditions.  CCTV will also cover the main customer area and the staff area of the premises.

 

 

  1. CCTV images should be stored securely and retained for a period of 31 days and shall be made available for inspection by the Police or a licensing officer.  Where video/images are required following an arrest, every effort shall be made to provide them by the following day at the latest.

 

  1. Posters will be prominently displayed in the premises which advise customers that no antisocial behaviour will be tolerated, that a challenge 25 policy is in existence and that Drinking Alcohol is not permitted ON or outside these premises.

 

  1. There will be a door chime/bell on any customer entrance and exit point which alerts staff to the fact that someone has entered or left the premises.

 

  1. There will be magnetic locks on the toilets which are controlled by staff from behind the counter.  The toilet doors will be locked at all times when not in use.

 

  1. Any changes to the layout of the premises must be agreed in advance with the officer responsible for licensing at the metropolitan police (Hounslow) and the Licensing Authority.

 

  1. There will be at least 2 members of staff on duty at all times.  At least one member of staff will be located on the main floor of the premises, not behind the counter.

  1. CCTV images should be stored securely and retained for a period of 31 days and shall be made available for inspection by the Police or a Licensing Officer.  Where video/images are required following an arrest, every effort shall be made to provide them by the following day at the latest.
